Criminology Alumni

The Department of Criminology was established in 1951, commencing with a single degree, the Graduate Diploma in Criminology, which was first awarded in 1953. Students undertaking the Diploma usually did so in conjunction with, or following, another degree.

Following the introduction of the Diploma, the Department has added a range of degrees including a BA in Criminology, a Postgraduate Diploma in Criminology, a Master of Criminology and a Master of Criminology (Forensic Psychology). The MA and PhD are faculty and university degrees which have been awarded in criminology since the mid 1970s.

All University of Melbourne students are recognised as alumni when they finish studying - there are no fees, nor is there any need to register with the program. If you're an alumnus of the University of Melbourne, be sure to keep your details up to date with the Alumni Office. This can be done online at their website: http://www.unimelb.edu.au/alumni/

Many of the Department's alumni have gone on to distinguished careers in the criminal justice system and related fields. Some of these alumni are listed below. We always look forward to hearing from graduates to have their profiles updated or added to our lists. Please contact us!
